7 Steps to make the perfect & tasty coffee with the help of the cafetiere

So your boss is coming to enjoy a nicely brewed coffee at home? Now, you are sure to be found stressed. Don’t be tense. Nth degree cafe, the best cafe in Sydney, is here to help you. Today we are going to help you with the best recipe for the cafetiere coffee which is considered the best homemade coffee in Sydney.

So today we will be learning how to make the ‘just perfect’ coffee with the help of the cafetiere. Follow the steps as mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Prewarming the cafetiere

If you want to make the coffee now but want to serve it after 15 to 20 minutes since the guests are late, then prewarming the cafetiere will help the coffee to retain its authentic flavour and taste for long.

  • Step 2: Put the ground coffee

If you are focusing on the minute details of the coffee, then make sure you are grinding the coffee beans just before you are going to brew it. If it has been roasted recently then, believe me, it will be like an icing on the cake. So once you have ground, put one scoop (of 1 tablespoon size) for each member. For example: If you are 5, then put 5 scoops of coffee.

But if you think that 5 scoops are quintessentially more for 5 people, then reduce the quantity. It is to motivate you that experimenting will only help you to make the better coffee the consequent time.

  • Step 3: Put the Boiling water

Now it’s time to put the boiling water. Make sure that the temperature of the water should neither be less or more than the perfect 97 degrees celsius.

  • Step 4: Brewing time

Now it is the brewing time. The ground coffee at this stage will react to the temperature of the water. Just leave the cafetiere as it is for around 4 to 5 minutes. Once the time has passed, then follow the next step.

  • Step 5: Stirring

Open the lid of the cafetiere and stir it with the help of the wooden spoon. Since metal spoons have insulative properties, their use is not suggested to deal with extremely hot coffee. If you find any lumps in the coffee while stirring, just scoop it off.

  • Step 6: Push the plunger downwards

Close the lid. The little plunger which the kids take delight to play with when you are not around is to be used at this stage. Push the plunge downwards and see what happened.

  • Step 7: Enjoy the coffee

Now, this is the last stage. But it is also crucial since you should be knowing how coffee can be enjoyed at its best. Make sure you are thinking of all the good times you have spent with your coffee partner.
